PLAY the MOVE
Play the Move/ 2025/ 300 x 300 x 1000 cm/ stainless steel, LED RGB, motors
Light Kinetic Sculptural Object The artwork Play the Move reflects a process that first takes place in our minds. Only once an idea is mentally confirmed can it be transferred into the physical world — into action. The object thus works with the very moment of decision, the point at which thought transforms into movement. The dominant visual element is a triangle, referencing the universal “play” icon while also symbolizing the three North Poles: magnetic, astronomical, and geographic. The three vertices become a metaphor for orientation — not only in space, but also in intention, values, and personal direction. Moving components and mirrored spheres positioned in opposition create a sense of continuous dynamism. Combined with colored light (RGB LED system) and controlled motors, the piece generates an immersive interplay of movement, reflection, rhythm, and light. The viewer is not merely an observer — through the reflective surface, they become an integral part of the visual experience. The object is made of highly polished stainless steel in a super mirror finish. Its reflective surface draws the surrounding space into the artwork itself while simultaneously opening it outward — toward the viewer and their individual interpretation. The sculpture is site-specific, designed for the premises of GymBeam. Its form and philosophy naturally align with the company’s identity — symbolizing movement, progress, exploration of possibilities, and continuous development. The artwork becomes a harmonious part of its environment, serving as a visual metaphor for ambition, focus, and energy.
